Driving digitalization for the future of automotive and mobility.
Astara, a global leader in automotive mobility and distribution, and Salesforce, a global leader in CRM, have announced a strategic partnership to share insights and knowledge about the automotive and mobility sector, as well as their specific solutions and processes, in order to identify areas for improvement and accelerate the transformation of this market. Astara is a global Salesforce user, and under this agreement, both companies will explore and evaluate how new business models in this industry will be digitally supported with Salesforce solutions. The agreement was announced during Dreamforce 2022, Salesforce's annual conference and the world's largest business software event.
Astara is a global and innovative company with a presence in 17 countries, three continents, and 3,000 employees. It has evolved from automotive distribution to a broad portfolio of mobility-related products and services. Astara identifies and tracks global trends in a customer-oriented market to offer and build new, useful mobility solutions for the future. With expected sales of 230,000 vehicles in 2022 and an estimated turnover of €5.5 billion, customers can access all types of affordable and sustainable transportation solutions thanks to a diversified portfolio of products and services, including ownership, subscription, B2B/B2C, connectivity, and market intelligence, which allows brands to gain insights for their corporate strategy.
With this collaboration, both companies expand their business relationship, which they have maintained since 2015 and are working together on digital transformation projects. Furthermore, leveraging this agreement and Astara's current Salesforce deployments, both parties agree to explore the path toward Astara's future adoption of Salesforce's specialized automotive solutions.
“Since we began our collaboration with Salesforce in 2015, everything we've done in terms of digitalization has been designed with a business model and business sense in mind,” says Jorge Navea, CEO of Astara. “That's why we've been able to grow profitably and align our strategy with our customers' preferences. Salesforce has enabled us on this journey, and now, seven years later, we're in the best position to collaborate on a joint quest to address the new challenges in the automotive and mobility sector.”
"As the automotive industry transitions to digital, our partnership with Astara combines innovative technology with industry expertise to help companies reimagine their business models," said Denis Terrien, CEO of Salesforce for Southern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. "At Salesforce, we're thrilled that this expanded partnership better positions automakers and dealers to better understand and serve their customers."
